Badija is a tiny island and it is part of the Skoje islands. It is only one kilometre across and its highest point above sea level is 74 metres. The Franciscan monastery was built in 1420 on the site of an eighth to ninth century church and was designed in the gothic style with a renaissance portal lunette. One of the gravestones is said to be that of Hranic Dragosteric who constructed Korcula cathedral’s bell tower.
