Brvnara Houses

In the tiny village of Milinkovici you can see a virtually unknown type of Croatian architecture which is a wooden house known locally as brvnara. In the Lika area there are dense forests of which the big pieces of wood are used to build the houses here were called brvna and the lower part of the building was constructed from mud or concrete. The roof was made from thatch.
