The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is in the town of Labin. It is a rare preserved monument that dates from the time of the Venetians and dates from the eleventh century but has been renovated many times since. It covers a wide range of architectural influences including neoclassicism, Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic. Of particular important interest is the facade of the church which has a lion upon it with a book which reads Peace be to you Marco.
