On the site of the current eighteenth century castle was a monastery owned by the Knight Templars who were here for one century prior to 1312. There are a couple of legends relating to the name of the castle. The Draskovic House is in the Baroque style and was built probably after the former castle Bozjekovina was in ruins after being destroyed by the Turks invading in 1591, it was described as being wooden with a moat.
