This dead town of Dvigrad was abandoned by its inhabitants soon after the year of 1714. The ruins of the medieval town are situated in Draga valley and began in prehistoric times. The city gate has so far remained intact as well as parts of the city wall. The Church of St. Sophia had lost its basilica and roof but one can still imagine how grand it once was with the three naves.
