Fort Church of St Marija and Milosrda

This church is dedicated to St Mary is very unusual in that it is fortified like a castle. This occurred in 1575 in order to resist attacks by pirates and the Turks. There is a large bastion on the north western corner and there’s a good view of the town from the roof which is accessible from the sacristy. The church was constructed in the Renaissance style.
