The Franciscan Monastery in Pazin dates from the fifteenth century and is dedicated to the Visitation of the Holy Virgin. The church within the monastery has a gothic presbytery and is similar to the nearby St Nicholas Church. The Franciscans at the monastery have a run a pharmacy, hospital and a school here over the years. The festival of Rim is celebrated at the monastery each year and pilgrims are granted an absolution of sins if they attend.
