This reserve of 750 hectares is situated within the River Kupa valley and it is surrounded by forests and swamps. Water lilies are commonly found in the sanctuary as well as carp, tench and pike. Frogs are in abundance and 235 species of birds have been recorded in the park. Unusually many birds do not migrate from here because of the climate. The most important birds found here are the black stork, kliktas and the yelping eagle.
