The Kastelet used to be a summerhouse for the Capogrosso family and it was built in the sixteenth century. Ivan Mesovic acquired the property in 1939 and converted it into a gallery for his works. Included in the restoration were features from the Holy Crucifix Church and there are twenty-eight wooden reliefs dedicated to Christ. A special piece is the crucifix which dates from 1916 and it is the earliest work from the church.
