The Jasenovac Memorial area was founded in 1968 to preserve the memory of the victims who suffered in the former concentration camp here at Jasenovac. The monument is called the Flower and was created by architect Bogdan Bogdenovic. This is the most popular museum institution in Croatia. The concentration camp was the largest in Croatia and the main victims of Jasenovac were ethnic Serbs. The museum contains personal items relating to the victims of Jasenovac.
