Established in 1992, this museum aims to preserve the cultural heritage of the Kastela area. There are numerous archaeological sites in the area providing a large number of finds. The museum also holds religious art objects from Kastela’s local parishes. The Cippico tower is a Renaissance citadel that dates from the sixteenth century. There are seven kastelas around Kastela city that are fortifications dating from the sixteenth century. The museum contains an applied art collection, a gallery dedicated to Marin Studin, an archaeological collection and the ethnological collection.
