The town museum is held inside a Venetian palace opposite the cathedral. The collection includes a fourth century BC copy of a Greek tablet which is the earliest evidence of civilization around Korcula. On the upper floor of the museum is an ethnographic display of a peasant kitchen. The museum was opened in 1957.
