The Krapina City Gallery was founded by the Open University of Krapina. It is situated within a nineteenth century manor house which was donated to the city by the Majcen lawyers. The gallery was opened to the public in 1993 and it organises regular temporary exhibitions featuring modern painters and sculptors from Croatia. Recently there has been an Origami paper exhibit including Haiku poetry.
