The Krk Cathedral dates from the twelfth century and was built upon much earlier building. The cathedral has 3 aisles and included in the construction are Roman buildings. Of interest inside the cathedral are some sixteenth century paintings by Vicenti and Antonio da Pordenone. Excavations took place in the northern part of the cathedral and discovered the remains of a 1st century Roman spa.
