Kutjevo Manor was built as part of a Jesuit complex that was a major factor in the village’s life. It was built in the Baroque style to surround an inner courtyard; the tower had a Baroque onion dome that was replaced some years later by a pyramidal steeple. Prior to Kutjevo manor a Cistercian abbey was situated here that was founded in 1232 by 12 monks from the Hungarian monastery of Zirc.
