Lake Vrana is the largest natural freshwater lake in Croatia and is situated between Zadar and Sibenik. The lake is popular with birdwatchers as it is a popular haunt for marsh birds and is also a great fishing location. Beside the lake are Roman remains including a water supply line leading to Zadar. Around the lake are also good cycling routes.
