Close to the village of Cabar can be found some great examples of the former fortification wall which runs between Tarsatica and Prezid. This wall was the defensive system against the Barbarians in the 4th century. The last fortification was at Prezid and the limes were built in the field here. The settlement of Prezid was the first in the region of Gorski Kotar and was founded during the Frankopans.
