The Lepoglavska lace festival has been held in the village for over ten years by the International Bobbin and Needle Lace Organisation. The festival helps strengthen the recognition of lace making, improve domestic and foreign markets. The festival also assists the preservation of traditional craft making. It became popular after the Second World War because it was an additional income for many families in this area. Lepoglavska lace has won medals at world exhibitions.
