Mirogoj cemetery is Zagreb’s main cemetery and acquired its first inhabitant in 1876 and has since had 300,000 other bodies buried here. The cemetery was divided into divided into religions of separate and equal areas. It includes a wide variety of Croatian architecture and sculpture by some important artists including those from Bolle’s School of Art and Crafts. Graves includes those of German soldiers and people who were in the Homeland War.
