Modro Jezero is otherwise known as the Blue Lake and is close to the town of Imotski. The lake can reach depths of 220 metres and is at its highest when the snow melts off the Bosnian mountains. The lake is very popular with tourists, there are great vistas around the lake and stone built trails which were built in 1907. The lake is surrounded by caves and a notable one is Boskova as it was used during WWII as a shelter.
