There are seven well preserved nineteenth century watermills along the Velika Paklenica creek and these are open to the public. The watermills were used to serve the houses in Podgorje and neighbouring towns until 1960 but today they no longer function. During a heavy rain flow, presentations are run on how the mills work. The Mid Marasovic mill was restored in 2000 with help from the Cultural Heritage Office.
