Papuk Nature Park has always been a popular destination for travellers since a local nobleman created a park around Jankovac lakes and it was declared a nature park in 1999. The highest peak in the park is Papuk at just over 1000 metres and it is a popular hike for walkers. There are a number of fresh water springs and monuments of historical and archaeological interest within the park. Deer and boar are common sights within the beech and fir trees.
