Podjavori forest park is on the side of Kalvarija hill where the Way of the Cross is located. It consists of 39 hectares and was designated in 1993. The forest consists of Cypress, Aleppo Pines, Holm Oak, redwood and cedars amongst other tree species. The trees were planted as part of the estate belonging to the Archduke Karl Stephen Habsburg under the design created by gardeners from Vienna.
