Rastoke is close to the village of Slunj. It is famous for the well-preserved mills which have renovated and are now producing corn again. These date back to the eighteenth century. Close to the mills can be found small waterfalls. It is very picturesque here so ensure you take your camera. A novel was written featuring Rastoke by Heimito von Doderer. These mills are on the Korana and Slunjcica rivers. There is also excellent fishing and hunting areas around here.
