Rizinice

Rizinice is the name for an area of land close to Mount Kozjak where the remains of a monasterial complex has been located. Interest was taken in this area when an inscription written upon a piece of altar screen gable was found that mentioned a Croatian Prince called Trpimir who was ruler around the 850s. This monastery may have been linked to Prince Trpimir’s estate which was thought to be near the village of Klis.
