Close to the castle and the former German Royal Gymnasium which is now the Archaeological Museum of Istria is the small Roman Theatre. This theatre was much smaller than the amphitheatre and there was also another one outside of the city which has not been preserved. At this theatre can be seen the remains of the semicircular orchestra and the tired section where the audience were sat.
