Samobor Castle

Samobor castle is not far from the city centre and is lovely spot to visit if only to imagine the former building that once stood here. The castle was built in the medieval times on the orders of King Ottokar II and has sadly since been neglected. It was constructed in the gothic style and had round towers. You can still see the remains of the moat and some of the walls are still standing with a large entrance.
