The Franciscan Monastery and Church of St John the Baptist in Klostar Ivanic was built in 1508 in the Gothic style and is one of the largest Gothic churches in Croatia. There is a large bell tower which dates to the sixteenth century. A lot of the building was destroyed when the Turks attacked, restoration occurred in 1677 in the Baroque style. Most of the inventory of the church is 17th and 18th century. There is a picture gallery which was opened to the public in 1994.
