The church of St Mary of Bistrica was first mentioned in 1334 but is believed to have existed long before. Initially the church was dedicated to other saints but was changed in the eighteenth century was a statue of the Virgin Mary was discovered hidden in the wall of the church. The interior of the church was renovated after a fire in 1880 however the statue was unharmed. Of other interest are the windows and organ.
