The Staro Selo Museum is an open air ethnographic museum that was founded in 1953. The museum includes twenty five restored and reconstructed residential houses as well as further farm buildings. There is a workshop that restores wooden and metal exhibits. As part of the permanent exhibitions there is the opportunity to learn how to cook traditional pasties “strukli” from the local region and try them. All of the houses are thatched traditionally.
