Stojan Jankovic’s castle was built on an important road, the Great Road (medieval, in the seventeenth century near a Romanesque church. The castle is well fortified so as to protect against the Turks during the war. Stojan Jankovic was a military commander and was given Islam Grcki as a reward for his efforts in the war. Vladin Desnica, an important Croatian writer, is buried at the church of St George.
