The current castle Stubicki Golubovec was built sometime after 1790 when Regina Draskovic nee Domjanic had the medieval castle knocked down due to damage from the peasants’ revolt. The façade of the castle is in the late Baroque-Classicist style. Inside, the tiled stoves are of particular note with round medallions depicting the spirits night and day. The chapel was built by Countess Regina Draskovic and Bishop Maksimiljan de Vrhovac. The park contains a number of exotic plants.
