The Basilica Euphrasiana

The Basilica Euphrasiana is a well preserved Roman Church which includes elements of Byzantine Art. The building was created in the sixth century and this houses some of the most beautiful glittering mosaics that date from the 3rd century and these cover the interior and façade of the church. The Basilica was enrolled on the UNESCO world heritage list in 1997 and there are frequent classical music contests held here.
