The Batana House in Rovinj is mainly concerned with the history of the batana which is the local type of fishing vessel. This is the first museum in the Mediterranean to be dedicated to a fishing vessel. The batana is a flat bottom wooden fishing vessel and it has been created and used in this area for centuries. The museum uses multimedia to help tell the story of the batana as well as projections and models.
