The Most Holy Redeemer Church in Otavice is the artist Ivan Mestrovic’s family vault and it is regarded as his mausoleum. The building was constructed under Ivan Mestrovic’s guidance and work was carried out until 1937. The building was damaged during the Croatian Independence War but that was restored in 1998. The interior of the church contains stone reliefs and sculptures. The church is constructed out of local stone. Ivan Mestrovic donated to the church to the people of Croatia for prayer, burial of Mestrovic’s family in the crypt and for people to visit the church.
