The village of Mirca has always been well known for its history of olive oil creation and so has recently opened a museum to celebrate this tradition. The museum is located within a 1950s oil pressing centre and contains a display of old machines and photographs. There are numerous olive oil products on show too. Producers of olive oil on Brac Island have won numerous awards for their products.
