This part of the Varazdin Municipal Museum is housed inside an old Baroque Palace and it contains the archaeological and historical department. There is also a master’s art gallery of old and contemporary art. Of interest is the Scythian tomb from the Iron Age in the archaeological section. The Old Gallery includes art work from the Biedermeier and the Baroque period. The Contemporary section has works by Ivan Rabuzin and Miljenko Stanzin. The historical department includes a numismatic display.
