Tor Tower

The Tor Tower near Jelsa dates from the 4th and 3rd century BC and is a Greek reconnaissance tower constructed out of megalithic blocks. It was mentioned in the Ode of Hvar. Demetrius of Hvar lived here until the Romans invaded. There is a fortified town 1 kilometre away to the east called Galesnik.
