The town of Buzet is reknowned as the "truffle place" as truffles grow mainly in the nearby Motovun forest. Two famous truffles grow here, the white and black Istrian versions. Many of the local restaurants and taverns sell this local delicacy. The truffle festivals are held in the town during the autumn.
