Vranjic peninsula holds a wide and varied history. It was once an island and contains archaeology from the prehistoric times to now. A Roman port can be found to the north, a middle aged settlement named Durana and the whole area of Vranjic was attacked/raided by the Turks during the war. In the seventeenth century the area was revived by people immigrating here.
