Vransko Jezero Nature Park is situated between Zadar and Sibenik.The Vrana lake was declared a nature park in 1999 and it is a karst valley filled with brackish water. The park contains a ornithological reserve and you may be lucky to several different species of egret and ducks that breed in the reed beds. The Romans used the karst basin to help transport water from here to Zadar via an aqueduct. There is a campsite available within the park.
