Vrboska fisherman’s museum was founded in 1972 to preserve the tradition of fishing as tourism and other trades slowly took over the village’s culture. The museum has a wide collection of objects relating to fishing including different types of nets, tools and equipment belonging to a former fish processing industry of Vrboska. Of notable interest is the reconstruction of a typical fisherman’s house which showed the hardship incurred by taking up this trade in the past.
