The Vukovar town museum was founded in 1948 was founded in 1948 and initially comprised of items donated by Dr. Antun Bauer. In 1966 the museum moved to its present location which is being restored after damage during the ’91 and ’95 war. The museum includes a memorial exhibitions dedicated to the Nobel Prize winner Lavoslav Ruzicka, the Bauer collection of arts that displays modern art and an archaeological display showing items from the Vucedol archaeological site.
