The Zelengrad trail is a 16 kilometre circular trail which starts in the town of Pazin. The path enjoys excellent panoramas of the Pazin valley, the mountain of Ucka, the forgotten village of Zelengrad and the waterfalls along the Butoniga. Zelengrad was first recorded in 1102 and again in a fourteenth century Glagolitic document and is now in ruins. It had a trapezoidal plan and was situated atop a hill close to the Butoniga River.
