Zrinski Citadel

The Zrinski family decided to build a three storey settlement in the centre of the village of Brod na Kupi in 1651 on top of an earlier fifteenth century citadel. The building was surrounded outer fortifications which have since been demolished. There is an underground passageway leading from the ground floor to the Kupnica River and a cave. The castle is floodlit at night and sadly is not listed as a monument as of yet.
