The Zumberak-Samobor Mountain Nature Park, established in 1999, has an area of 333 kilometres. The highest peak within the park is Sveta Gera at 1178 metres. There are two archaeological sites of interest in the park dating from the Iron Age and the Roman times. Karstic features are predominate with canyons and waterfalls. There is a deep pit called Jazovka that is a world war two graves for victims. There is a number of way marked walking trails through the nature park.
